Montañita is recognized to be one of the most diverse on culinary styles on all the coast of Ecuador. From veggies pizzas to shrimp spaghetti or a tuna sushi, the list of restaurant and menus on Montañita is long.

Being a coastal little town, most of the restaurants have their cuisine is based on fish and seafood, many of them really good value, offering for example: a veggie soup as first plate and a second a fish with rice, fried bananas and salad from US$3.

Other important ingredients are fruits. Is like religion here to eat a good breakfast with pineapples, bananas and yogurt and granola.

About drinks & bars, Montañita is no going to let you down. The delicious mix of liquors and tropical fruits, give some of the best daiquiris or Piñas Coladas you ever taste. The are many bars, on each corner of this little town; you can drink some cold beers with a good reggae music and then change to the next bar and watch a surf video with some electronic music.

Many restaurants transform onto bars, and many bars can transform onto discotheques… everything can happen in Montañita. The tourists came here to enjoy the beach, but also came because they know that the nights at Montañita are really special and amazing.
